A Year of Wildflowers #1 – Gorse
A member of the pea family, gorse has needle like leaves and a coconut scent. Back in the day people would use gorse to feed livestock, fuel bread ovens, make brushes and use the petals to make yellow dye to paint Easter eggs.

Something about this place makes me want to photograph it. It’s very diverse in culture and architecture. These are couple of photos I hurriedly took while rushing from a restaurant to the cinema while celebrating my son’s excellent exam results.
